| So. My orientation is in a week, and apparently, I need to have all my mathsci credits evaluated before then. Only I have to talk to my advisor first before talking to departmental transfer coordinators, and my advisor doesn't seem to have great office hours. Whoo-hoo. Plus I get to fax maybe 20 pages of math stuff over to the math counselors tomorrow and hope my math credits get evaluated before orientation so I don't have to take the math assessment or get screwed with scheduling mathsci courses.
And I get to review German for my placement test. Then I get to study for mcats until August 19! And then I get to be all alone when everyone else is at school. Yay me.
| Hung out with Bobby yesterday, and it was fun. :D Although not very productive academically, but I seem to do that well enough on my own, and well, some of the things that happened were rather memorable. I'm reminded of Robert/Derrick, and I swear, all the gay friends I have are snarky adorable people. Yay.
So the first wave of college apps are over, and I, as usual, waited until the last moment. Whoo. The same thing'll happen again the several days before December 1. Eh.
And I'm still somehow acing all of my courses with absolute minimal studying due to the onslaught of exams every week. Joy. I'm determined to prove those professors who say I need to study 293740927490327 hours for their classes wrong.
And I was just lectured for ten minutes by my dad. Whoo.
| So I sent in my research paper an hour ago, and although I am free for now, I still have to worry about my poster (and the fact the scholarship requirements dictate that "failure to satisfactorily complete any aspect of this scholarship requirement will result in...dismissal from TAMS. And obviously, my paper sucked.)
Beside that, I am once again behind in schoolwork because of this paper. Argh. Joy.
Hopefully, everyone else is having a better closed weekend.
| I am not thrilled about going back to TAMS, but that's only because next semester will suck like no other. I'm not sure my procrastination strategy will work on mechanics + o-chem, so I'm not going to try, and I'm actually going to study. Shocking, yes, but I have to keep my 4.0.
There are other problems, but I shan't speak of them at this moment. They are...unhappy.
Colleges are tedious. I have three choices and one back-up, and there will probably be one or two more choices before I start working on applications like no other. Meh. At least I'm considered a freshman in two of my choices, which is very very good. I need my merit scholarships, yo, or it's not worth applying.
Frog night: Bring your kids to ultimate frisbee! It's free, easy, and fun. Alternative: Lan party. I'm sort of jealous of frogs who can leave their tadpoles at the lan party...I need my time to download anime. I hope DC++ people will have lots of episodes to download.
I should probably actually finish my essays + personal information summary and the like.
See you guys Saturday. I'm in room 128, so come by or something.
| So, update.
I still haven't started my research project. Shhh. I will. Soon. As soon as people stop dragging me places at night. :p
Er, I got my SAT II scores back. They didn't suck (too badly). I got my ACT scores back, also. They sucked even less (which means mostly not sucking).
I know everything that happens in HBP. But I am nice and shan't spoil anyone. :p There was an online version of it up a while back, but it got taken down yesterday.
I should look at colleges soon. Since I am back to two again, I think, and one is UT Austin. :3
